EBUTECH works because a stranger can walk into your home and both of you feel safe. These
standards are how we keep that true. They apply to everyone who uses EBUTECH, and they form
part of our Terms & Conditions.
For everyone
- Treat people with respect. No harassment, discrimination, threats, or abusive language — on any grounds, including ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, or origin.
- Be honest. Describe the job, the price, and the outcome truthfully.
- Communicate. If something changes — timing, access, scope — say so early.
- Keep it legal. No illegal work, and no work you are not licensed or competent to carry out.
- Respect privacy. Contact details shared for a job are for that job only. Do not reuse them for anything else.
What clients can expect from a professional
- They are verified by EBUTECH and carry a unique verification code you can check
- They arrive within the agreed window, or tell you if they are delayed
- They ask for your arrival code at your door before starting
- They agree the price with you before the work, and enter that same amount at completion
- They work safely, tidy up, and treat your property with care
- They never ask you to pay them directly
What professionals can expect from clients
- Safe, reasonable access to the property and to the work area
- Honest disclosure of hazards — electrical, structural, environmental, or animals on site
- Agreement on scope and price before work begins, and no pressure to change it mid-job
- Prompt payment through EBUTECH once the job is done
- Respectful treatment, and a fair rating based on the actual work
Never acceptable
These result in immediate investigation and, where confirmed, removal from EBUTECH:
- Asking a client to pay directly, in cash or to a personal account
- Impersonating an EBUTECH professional, or sending someone else in your place
- Requesting a client's arrival code before arriving, or by phone or message
- Theft, damage, or entering areas of a property you were not invited into
- Harassment, intimidation, sexual misconduct, or violence of any kind
- Working under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Attempting to take a client "off platform" for future work
- Retaliating against someone for leaving an honest rating or making a report
- Submitting false ratings or fake reports
Safety on site
- Check the professional's verification code before letting anyone begin
- Give the arrival code only to the person physically at your door
- Professionals should use appropriate protective equipment and refuse work that cannot be done safely
- If a job cannot be carried out safely, stop. Nobody is expected to continue in unsafe conditions.
- In an emergency, contact the Nigeria Police Force on 112 or 199 first, then tell us
Ratings and reports
After each job the client can rate the professional and flag a concern. Ratings shape how
work is assigned, so they matter.
- Rate honestly, from your own direct experience of the job
- One rating per job; ratings cannot be edited once submitted
- Reports of payment diversion or misconduct are reviewed by our team in every case
- We may remove reviews that are false, abusive, or retaliatory
How we enforce this
Depending on what happened and whether it has happened before, we may:
- Issue a warning and require corrective action
- Restrict access to new jobs while we investigate
- Withhold payment connected to a confirmed breach
- Remove the person from EBUTECH permanently
- Report the matter to the Nigeria Police Force or other authorities
We investigate before acting, and we tell the person what has been alleged wherever it is
safe and lawful to do so. Anyone removed may ask us to review the decision using the
contact details below.
Report a concern
Tell us as much as you can — booking code, what happened, when. Reports are treated
confidentially, and we do not disclose who reported what to the person concerned.
