When you submit a Service Request through our website, we collect:

• Your service address, state, and property type
• The service category, service group, and specific service you selected
• Your preferred service date (if provided)
• A description of the job you need done
• Any photos or documents you choose to attach to your request
• Your IP address, for fraud prevention and abuse monitoring

We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect payment card details through the website — job pricing and payment are arranged directly with our team or your assigned professional.

If you apply to join our workforce through the "Become an EBUTECH Professional" page, we also collect:

• Your personal and contact details, date of birth, gender, nationality, and residential address
• Your profession, experience, employment status, and screening responses
• Your CV/resume, certificates, and any professional licences you upload
• Identity documents (government-issued ID and proof of address) and a live verification selfie
• An identification number, where you provide one — stored in encrypted form
• Emergency contact, guarantor, and reference details you supply

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

• Review your service request and contact you about it
• Match and assign a verified professional suited to your job
• Share the necessary job details with the professional assigned to your request
• Send you confirmation, assignment, and status update emails about your request
• Maintain internal records for quality assurance, safety, and dispute resolution
• Improve our services and website based on aggregate, non-identifying trends

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Sharing With Assigned Professionals

When a verified professional is assigned to your request, we share the details necessary for them to complete the job — your name, phone number, address, state, property type, job description, and preferred date. Each professional in our network is issued a unique verification code, which we encourage you to confirm before allowing any work to begin.

4. Data Retention

We retain service request records for as long as reasonably necessary for business, legal, and record-keeping purposes, including resolving disputes and maintaining a history of work carried out. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time, subject to the exceptions described in Section 8.

5. Applicant Data & Identity Verification

Because our professionals work inside clients' homes and businesses, we verify the identity of every applicant to protect both our customers and our workforce. Where you apply to join us:

• Uploaded documents (CV, certificates, ID, proof of address, selfie, guarantor ID) are stored on secured, non-public storage and are never made available through a public web link.
• Only authorized EBUTECH administrators and HR staff can access identity documents, and every such access is logged.
• Any identification number you provide is encrypted at rest.
• Identity/selfie verification may be carried out with a trusted Nigerian verification provider (for example Smile ID, Prembly, VerifyMe, or Youverify). We share with them only what is needed to confirm your identity.
• Applicant data is used solely for recruitment, identity verification, and employment purposes, and is retained only as long as necessary for those purposes and our legal obligations.

6. Data Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), encryption of sensitive identity data at rest, access-controlled admin systems with role-based permissions, audit logging of access to sensitive documents, and password-protected staff accounts. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Cookies & Similar Technologies

Our website may use essential cookies required for it to function correctly. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. If this changes, this policy will be updated accordingly.

8. Your Rights
