How EBUTECH Global Hub Innovation collects, uses, and protects your information.
Last updated: 30 October 2026
EBUTECH Global Hub Innovation ("EBUTECH," "we," "us," or "our") is a Nigerian services company where homes and businesses book and hire verified workers across Nigeria. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website or the EBUTECH app, submit a service request, buy from the EBUTECH Store, or apply to join our professional workforce: how we use it, who we share it with, how we protect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA).
When you submit a Service Request on our website or in the app, we collect:
We never collect or store your card details. When you pay by card or through Paystack, payment is processed by our licensed payment provider (Paystack), who handles your card or bank details directly. We receive only a confirmation that payment succeeded, the amount, the payment channel, and a transaction reference. If you pay by bank transfer to EBUTECH's own company account, we record the amount, the name on the account it came from, and the bank's reference, so our staff can match it to your bill.
If you use the EBUTECH mobile app, we also collect:
Whether you use the app or the website, we also keep:
The app asks your permission before enabling notifications. You can turn them off at any time in your device settings, or by signing out: we remove your device token when you do.
If you apply to join our workforce through the "Become an EBUTECH Professional" page, we also collect:
We use the information you provide to:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Notifications are deliberately vague. Because notifications appear on a locked screen where other people may see them, we never put your name, address, or phone number in a notification, only a generic message such as "Your worker has been assigned." The details are shown only after you open the app.
When a verified professional is assigned to your request, we share the details necessary for them to complete the job: your name, phone number, address, state, property type, job description, preferred date, any photos you attached, and your location if you shared it. Each professional in our network is issued a unique verification code, which we encourage you to confirm before allowing any work to begin.
While your professional is on the way, their location is shown to you so you can see them coming. Professionals agree to this when they work through EBUTECH.
We use a small number of providers to run EBUTECH, and give each only what it needs: Paystack (payments), Cloudinary (storing photos and documents), Termii (SMS), an email delivery provider, Expo (app notifications), and Google (signing in with Google, and maps for travel times). They process this data on our behalf or, in Paystack's case, as an independent controller.
Payment for completed jobs is collected by EBUTECH through Paystack, a payment processor licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria, or, where we ask you to, by bank transfer to EBUTECH's own company account. When a job is completed you are shown the amount and how to pay: by card on Paystack's secure page, or by transfer to the EBUTECH account shown for that payment.
Payment safety: always pay EBUTECH through the app or the account details we send you. Never pay a professional directly, in cash or by transfer, and never send money to an account given to you verbally on site. If anyone asks you to, stop and report it to us immediately. See our Payment Safety page.
We retain service request records for as long as reasonably necessary for business, legal, and record-keeping purposes, including resolving disputes and maintaining a history of work carried out. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time, subject to the exceptions described in Section 9.
Because our professionals work inside clients' homes and businesses, we verify the identity of every applicant to protect both our customers and our workforce. Where you apply to join us:
We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), encryption of sensitive identity data at rest, access-controlled admin systems with role-based permissions, audit logging of access to sensitive documents, and password-protected staff accounts with two-step verification available. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our website uses essential cookies, such as the one that keeps you signed in, and stores a few preferences (like your theme or store basket) in your browser. We do not use third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. If this changes, this policy will be updated accordingly.
Depending on applicable law, including Nigeria's Data Protection Act, you may have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 11. We respond within 30 days.
Deleting your account. If you have an EBUTECH app account, you can delete it at any time from Account → Delete my account in the app, or by emailing us. When you do, we remove your profile (name, email, phone number, and photo), saved addresses, and device notification tokens. We keep records of completed jobs, orders, and their payments where we are legally required to (Nigerian tax and accounting rules require us to retain transaction records), but these are disconnected from your account and are not used to contact you again.
Our services are intended for use by adults arranging work on residential, commercial, or institutional properties. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
